Dear visitor!
In April 1999 I received my master's degree in polish law at University of Gdańsk and in May 2002 - in german law at University of Munich. In April 2003 I received my Ph.D. in polish (criminal) law at University of Toruń. From December 1999 to April 2003 I was a visiting researcher at universities: Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (Germany), Cologne (Germany) and Munich (Germany). My post-doctoral research I did at universities in German-speaking countries from Mai 2003 to September 2005: Munich (Germany), Zurich (Switzerland) and Vienna (Austria). Since October 2005 I am working as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Rzeszów (Poland). Here I teach, do research and some other fun things.
Many, if not most, of my publications deal with the criminal law. However, as you will notice, over the years, I developed a vivid interest in Polish, German, Austrian and Swiss criminal law, comparative criminal law, criminal law of European Union, international criminal law and last but not least philosophy of criminal law.
I am of a strong international orientation, with both an European and a global focus.
Why do I work at an university when I could make much more money in the law practice? For me, it is because (1) it is a place for free open creative thinking, similar in spirit to open source coding, (2) there is time (and space) for self learning, and, (3) you meet many intelligent and creative students. I strongly recommend it!
Thank you very much for visiting my homepage! When you visit next time, I hope there is more to show you.
